1. Who we are

Victorian Drafting and Design ("VDD", "we", "us") operates the website vicdesign.com.au and provides drafting, design and documentation services across Victoria, Australia. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What we collect

We collect personal information you give us directly when you submit our enquiry form or contact us by email or phone. This typically includes:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number (optional)
• Project type and indicative budget (optional)
• The contents of your message
• Technical data submitted alongside the form: IP address and browser user-agent string, used solely for spam protection

We do not collect sensitive information (as defined by the Privacy Act) and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

3. Why we collect it

We use your information only to:

• Respond to your enquiry and discuss your project
• Provide and quote drafting, design and documentation services
• Detect and prevent spam or abuse of our contact form
• Comply with our legal and professional obligations

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.

4. How we store it

Form submissions are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored in a secured Supabase database hosted in Australia/AWS. Access is limited to the practice principal. The site is served by Vercel; technical request logs may be retained briefly by Vercel as part of their standard hosting service.

5. Spam protection

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish humans from automated bots on the contact form. Turnstile sets a short-lived cookie/local-storage entry on your device and may share limited technical signals with Cloudflare. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

6. Disclosure

We disclose personal information only to:

• Service providers who help us operate the site and store enquiries (Vercel, Supabase, Cloudflare) under their own privacy and security obligations
• Project consultants (e.g. surveyors, engineers, town planners, builders) where you have asked us to coordinate your project with them
• Authorities, where required by law

7. Cookies and analytics

This site does not use third-party advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies. Strictly necessary cookies may be set by our spam-protection provider (Turnstile) and our hosting provider (Vercel) to operate the site.

8. Your rights

Under the APPs you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, email dragan@vicdesign.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at dragan@vicdesign.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

10. Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at vicdesign.com.au/privacy with the date of the last update at the top of the page.
